Departure Point – Tapah Railway Station

The Tapah Road railway station, operational since the late 19th century, serves the town of Tapah Road in Perak, Malaysia. This station is part of the KTM ETS service network and has a freight yard. It’s not situated in the town center but is accessible via Route A10.

The station caters to passengers from the local area and neighboring regions, including Teluk Intan and the Cameron Highlands. Recreational spots and educational institutions are also nearby.

Originally part of the Perak Railway network for tin transport, the station was inaugurated on May 18, 1893, by Sir Cecil Clementi Smith. After a merger in 1901, it became a junction station on the mainline.

Renovated in 2007 as part of the Rawang-Ipoh electrification project, the old building was retained. Tapah Road now sees Gold and Silver ETS service stops and serves as a stop for northbound Platinum services as well.

Arrival Point – Ipoh Railway Station
