Arrival Point – Ipoh Railway Station

The Ipoh railway station has been in operation since 1917 and is a historic structure in Perak, Malaysia, notable for its design by Arthur Benison Hubback. Managed by Keretapi Tanah Melayu, the station provides KTM ETS train services and also oversees freight operations. It features nine tracks, with four being electrified.

About ETS

ETS, or Electric Train Service, is Malaysia’s high-speed rail service that runs along the electrified double-track segments of the West Coast Line from Gemas to Padang Besar, close to the Thai border. Trains can reach speeds up to 140 kilometers per hour. There are three service classes available: Platinum, Gold, and Silver. The Platinum service is the quickest, offering the fewest stops at major stations only. The Gold service stops at additional stations along the route, and the Silver service is the most economical, stopping at nearly all stations.
