Situated to the northwest of Kuala Lumpur, the station boasts a strategic location near Jalan Kuala Selangor and Jalan Sungai Buloh, as well as Jalan Hospital. It serves as an interchange station connecting the KTM Komuter Port Klang Line, KTM ETS services, and the MRT Putrajaya Line. 

The station features a total of six tracks and three platforms, with four tracks and two platforms dedicated to KTM services, while the remaining two tracks and one platform serve the MRT. Its common elevated concourse serves as a central hub for ticketing, featuring ticket vending machines, ticketing offices, and retail outlets for the convenience of travelers. The station also offers essential facilities including surau (prayer room), toilets, and kiosks. There are two main options for traveling from Sungai Buloh to Kuala Lumpur. 

KL Sentral
