Trains from Shah Alam to Klang operate on the Tanjung Malim – Pelabuhan Klang rail line. There are three stations between the departure and arrival points. The journey takes about 15 minutes, and this is the same on both weekdays and weekends. For purchasing tickets, you can do so at the stations because advance ticket purchases are not available for KTM Komuter services.

Trains from Shah Alam to Klang are available 22 times a day on weekdays, starting from 06:39 in the morning until 23:39 at night. On weekends, the service runs 21 times a day, maintaining the same schedule as on weekdays, with the first train at 06:39 and the last one at 23:39.

Departure Point – Shah Alam Station

The Shah Alam Komuter station is located in Seksyen 19, Shah Alam, Selangor. It is a stop on the KTM Komuter’s Port Klang Line and has one side platform and one island platform, with four tracks in total. Due to its location in a busy suburban area, the station sees a high number of passengers, especially during rush hours and holidays. For the convenience of passengers, the station provides ticket vending machines, a customer service office, toilets, a parking lot, and a surau (prayer room). Additionally, a complimentary bus service is available from the station to the city center.

Arrival Point – Klang Station

The Klang Komuter station, previously known as the Klang railway station, is a vital transportation hub on the KTM Komuter’s Port Klang Line. Located on Jalan Besar in the southern part of Klang, it’s conveniently close to the Klang Central Bus Hub, making transfers between the two modes of transport easy for passengers.

The station’s infrastructure consists of a modest single-storied building with a side platform attached to the main structure. Additionally, there’s an island platform that passengers can access via a pedestrian bridge. For the convenience of travelers, the station is equipped with essential amenities such as a ticket counter, a ticket vending machine, and public toilets.

KTM Komuter, established in 1995, is a widely-used rail service in Malaysia that caters to Kuala Lumpur and the surrounding Klang Valley. In 2015, after the completion of the Ipoh-Padang Besar Electrification and Double-Tracking Project, its coverage extended to northern states.
