Adults can secure a ticket for 34.50 MYR, while a reduced fare of 20.50 MYR is applicable for children up to 12 years old. Tickets are available for purchase online through the ferry company’s website or at the ferry terminal’s ticket counter.

Kuala Kedah to Alor Setar Station

Upon disembarking from the ferry at Kuala Kedah, you have a couple of options to reach Alor Setar Railway Station. If you prefer a direct route, a taxi ride to the city center is about 13 kilometers away, costing around 20 MYR. Alternatively, for those looking for a more economical option, a bus service is available. The bus stop is conveniently situated a mere 550 meters from the ferry terminal, which is roughly a 7-minute walk. Buses from Kuala Kedah to Alor Setar city center are frequent, and upon reaching the city center, Alor Setar Railway Station is an easy 10 to 15-minute walk away.

Alor Setar to KL Sentral by ETS Train

On the Southbound Train line from Alor Setar to KL Sentral, passengers can choose between Gold and Platinum class trains. The Gold class train completes the journey in approximately 5 hours and 5 minutes, while the Platinum class train takes a slightly shorter time, about 4 hours and 55 minutes.

The starting price for a ticket in Gold class is RM64.00, and for Platinum class, it’s RM85.00. Details for the Silver class service, including its duration and ticket cost, are not provided.
