The train journey from KL Sentral to Pelabuhan Klang covers a route with 19 stations. This route is part of the Tanjung Malim – Pelabuhan Klang line. On both weekdays and weekends, the shortest travel duration is approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes.

Tickets for this journey can be purchased directly at the station, as KTM Komuter does not offer advance ticket sales. Starting from KL Sentral, the train makes stops at Abdullah Hukum, Angkasapuri, Pantai Dalam, Petaling, Jalan Templer, Kg Dato Harun, Seri Setia, Setia Jaya, Subang Jaya, Batu Tiga, Shah Alam, Padang Jawa, Bukit Badak, Klang, Teluk Pulai, Teluk Gadong, Kg Raja Uda, Jalan Kastam, and finally arrives at Pelabuhan Klang.

Departure Point: KL Sentral

KL Sentral is a major transportation hub in Kuala Lumpur that offers a wide range of transportation options, including trains, buses, taxis, and light rail transit (LRT). It is strategically located, providing easy access to different parts of the city, as well as intercity and international destinations. 

The KL Sentral KTM Komuter station is situated within the Stesen Sentral Kuala Lumpur in the Brickfields area of southwestern Kuala Lumpur, about 3 km from the city center. As an interchange station for KTM Komuter’s Pelabuhan Klang Line and Seremban Line, KL Sentral provides an efficient and convenient mode of transportation for commuters. 

Ticket counters and ticketing machines for the KTM Komuter are available on both sides of Level 1 of the KL Sentral’s main concourse, while the KTM Komuter trains can be found on Level 1 of KL Sentral’s Transit Concourse.

Arrival Point: Pelabuhan Klang (Port Klang) Station

The Port Klang Komuter station is a significant transportation hub in Selangor, operated by KTM Komuter. It serves as the western endpoint for the Port Klang Line (Tanjung Malim – Pelabuhan Klang Route), connecting travelers to various destinations across the region. 

The Port Klang Immigration Centre is located within walking distance from the railway station, as well as the South Port cruise ship terminal, which provides ferries to Pulau Ketam and Sungai Lima. Additionally, the Asa Niaga Harbour City Terminal is also within walking distance and offers ferries to Dumai and Tanjung Barali in Indonesia. 

The station has one side platform and one island platform, along with essential facilities such as a surau, ticket counter, toilet, and ticket vending machines. 

Alternative – Buses from KL to Pelabuhan Klang

For those planning a trip from Kuala Lumpur to Pelabuhan Klang, it’s important to be aware that there are no direct bus services available for this route. The only available public transportation option is the train.
