The train service from Kajang to Midvalley operates on the Pulau Sebang – Batu Caves line and involves a brief journey passing through five stations. Regardless of whether it’s a weekday or weekend, the quickest trip takes around 30 minutes. You can buy your train tickets directly at any station, as the KTM Komuter doesn’t offer the option to purchase them in advance. The stops along the way include Serdang, Bandar Tasek Selatan, Salak Selatan, Seputeh, and finally MidValley.

The commuter train from Kajang to MidValley in Kuala Lumpur runs frequently, with 20 trains daily on weekdays and 16 trains daily on weekends. On weekdays, the first departure from Kajang is very early at 6:19. Trains run throughout the day, with the last train leaving Kajang at 22:06 on weeknights. On weekends, the schedule is shortened slightly, with the first-weekend train departing Kajang at 7:14 and the last weekend train leaving at 22:04.

Departure Points – Kajang Station and Kajang 2 Station

Passengers arriving in Kajang have the option of choosing between two stations: Kajang Station and Kajang 2 Station.

Kajang Station

Kajang Station, located a short distance from Kajang town center, serves as a vital stop on the Seremban Line for both KTM Komuter and KTM Intercity services. It comprises three platforms: one attached to the main station structure and two arranged in an island layout.

The station is also a key interchange point, connecting to the MRT Kajang Line via a pedestrian bridge that links it to the nearby Kajang MRT Station.

Passengers at Kajang Station can access various amenities, including self-service ticket vending machines, a customer service office for assistance, parking facilities, and restrooms to meet basic needs.

Kajang 2 Station

Kajang 2 Station opened in March 2023 and is situated in the southern part of Kajang, at the junction of Jalan Reko and Jalan Fairuza. The station consists of two side platforms: Platform 1 serves southbound trains, while Platform 2 serves northbound trains. Passengers have access to ticket counters, restrooms, and a parking lot that can accommodate up to 500 cars.

Arrival Point – Mid Valley Station

Mid Valley Station, located in Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur, is part of the KTM Komuter’s Seremban Line. It was completed in August 2004 at a cost of RM12.2 million and comprises two levels. The upper level is designated for ticketing, while the lower level serves as the platform area. Passengers, including those with disabilities, can access the platforms via stairs and elevators.

In November 2019, a pedestrian bridge was opened, connecting Mid Valley Station to the Abdullah Hukum station on the Port Klang and Kelana Jaya Lines, improving connectivity for commuters. However, in 2021, a section of the station was temporarily closed for upgrades, leaving only one side operational for trains heading southwards to Kajang and Seremban.

Mid Valley Station is conveniently located just 200 meters from Mid Valley City, housing Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens. The station was built to provide an alternative to car travel and reduce traffic congestion. While the station itself lacks parking facilities, passengers can access nearby bus services on Jalan Syed Putra, enhancing accessibility to the station for commuters.
