If you prefer a cheaper option, you can walk from the station to the city center bus stop, which takes about 10-15 minutes, and then catch a local bus to the jetty. 

Once you arrive at Kuala Kedah Jetty, you can purchase a ferry ticket to Langkawi for 34.50 MYR per adult, available online or at the jetty itself.
